Ao Nang Beach
Ao Nang beach Krabi is for sure the most popular beach for locals and tourists. You will find many shops selling beach supplies, beach outfits, elephant souvenirs, and anything else along the strip. This is also where many of the best bars, nightclubs, and restaurants are. If you are looking for which beach to stay in Krabi Ao Nang is always a favorite.

The water is calm and clear making it the perfect beach for swimming. There are also tables and seating areas back behind the sand. You will also find plenty of places to have a picnic. Purchase snacks or meals from the local street food vendors or bring your own snacks.

Phra Nang beach
Up next is the Phra Nang Beach in Krabi beach Thailand. This is one of the beaches in Krabi Thailand that are only accessible by a long-tail boat from Ao Nang. You will want to buy a ticket to Railay Beach and once you arrive you will need to take a short walk through the jungle.
This is where the famous Phra Nang Cave or Princess Cave is. This is an unusual cave with many sexual figures displayed. The local sea gypsies took over this cave and dedicated it to the local fertility goddess. People come here from all over the country when they are trying to start a family, or just to look at the wooden carvings.
This is one of the best beaches in Krabi for swimming and sunbathing. The water is crystal clear and clean. Or you can sunbathe on the beach and take in the gorgeous backdrop of the limestone cliffs out in the water. There are some of the best restaurants in Krabi nearby and plenty of places to relax. Keep your eyes open for monkeys playing around in the trees. The monkeys are cute and mostly friendly but never trust them.
If you didn’t know Krabi is one of the most popular places for rock climbing in Thailand, and Phra Nang Beach is the best spot to get your climb on. You can book a local tour and they will take care of everything for you!
Krabi Beach Railay
One of the most popular beaches in Krabi Thailand is Railay. If you are staying in Krabi for any period of time you have to go and check out Railay! This small fishing village has transformed into a world-class vacation spot. You will find some of the best beach hotels in Krabi here!
You can spend your time relaxing on the shore or opt for a Thai massage on the beach. There are many ladies walking around offering cheap massages, pedicures, and manicures, or you can even get your hair braided. Bring your own food, or grab a seat at one of the many restaurants with a view.
If you are looking for fun things to do in Krabi Beach Thailand Railay has many. There are huts renting out paddle boards and kayaks. The waters here are normally calm and make for a perfect day out on the water. When it comes to booking long tail boat tickets you will want to head to the booth on the Ao Nang shore.
If you book a two-way transfer they will give you a time you have to be back, so be sure to book a one-way ticket to Railay. This way you can book another one-way ticket from the other side to come back whenever you want. It won’t cost you any more money and you can relax and enjoy the beach on your own time.
Nopparat Thara Beach
Up next is one of the best Krabi beaches to explore. To get here you will need to drive all the way down the strip of Ao Nang and park in the very back of the National Park. Parking is free and open to the public. You will see local street vendors selling everything from blow-up floats to meat on a stick.
After you get all of your supplies ready for the day there are a few different places to set up your spot for the day. Try walking all the way down the short, passed the beautiful Nopparat Thara Beach sign in the sand.
Once you get to the back you will find a secluded strip of white sand. Few people make the short walk out here and you will have plenty of space to relax. If you walk all the way down you will see a small port with long tails and speed boats passing through.
There is one big grouping of trees where you can escape the sun. During the morning time, it is best to walk around the trees and sit facing the secluded beach. But when the afternoon sun comes over you may want to set up shop facing the main Noppart Thara Beach.
The water here is calm, shallow, and perfectly sandy. If you do take the short walk to the back side, be sure to bring water and snacks with you because once you are comfy you will never want to leave. If you are looking for a more active vacation, try renting a banana boat, or kayak, or try paddle boarding here.
Tub Kaek Beach Krabi
Tub Kaek Beach is a beautiful strip of sand and is the most popular beach in Krabi if you are looking for peace and quiet. There are no long tail boats here and you can see the Pak Bia and Hong Islands offshore. The water is clear and very clean because of all the luxury beach hotels here. Do not worry though the beach is still open to the public.
The Nothern part of this beach is a lush jungle that is a part of the conservation efforts in Krabi. This is the perfect place to set up for the day because of the shade it creates. There are high-end restaurants on the beach, and a few local Thai and Seafood shops as well.
The popular Khao Ngon Nak hiking trail or Dragon Crest Hike is also located at the Tub Kaek beach. This intense hike will take you about 3 hours in total, but the views are incredible. You will have to pay an entrance fee of 200 baht per person to enter the park and it is well worth the price.
Tub Kaek Beach is about a 20-minute drive from Ao Nang and is one of the best-hidden beaches in Krabi Thailand!

Klong Muang Beach
Klong Muang Beach is one of the most picturesque beaches in Krabi Thailand. This small beach is full of local bars, and restaurants, with plenty of places to relax. You can always go grab a drink and relax and one of the beach bars and use their chairs, but you can also bring your own towel or mat and make a spot in the sand.
When it is low tide the water washes out and you can almost walk out to the beautiful limestone cliffs. At high tide, the water rises and crashes along the chairs at the beach bars. Which makes for a soothing and relaxing day.
You can get to this beach from a long-tail boat from Ao Nang, or by car, minibus, or scooter, whatever is easier for you. Many couples spend their honeymoon in one of the beautiful resorts on Klong Muang Beach.
The Best Beach Islands in Krabi
The best beach in Krabi Thailand is so subjective to what you are looking for. If you want to chill and have plenty nearby to do you probably will love Ao Nang. If you feel like exploring a bit, then these beach islands in Krabi would be perfect for you!
Koh Klang Beach
Koh Klang Beach is one of the best hidden gems in Krabi. Located on Koh Klang Island, the waters here are crystal clear and perfect for swimming and snorkeling. And this is one of the best places for kayaking because of the majestic mangroves.
Try booking a tour with a local tour guide, they can provide expert knowledge while guiding you through the waters. You may even be taken to some secret spots that you cannot find on your own.
There are places on Koh Klang Beach where you can rent your own kayak, paddleboard, and even beach chairs. You will not find any resorts on Koh Klang Beach, only homesteads making the vibe much chiller and laid back.
To get to Koh Klang Island you can take a local ferry or a long boat. The ride from Ao Nang will cost you around 100 baht and you can take your scooter if you go with the ferry. The pier you want is Suan Chao Fah Pier. You do not have to book in advance, and the ride is only about 10 minutes.

Koh Phi Phi – Island Beach
Up next is the famous Krabi island of Thailand Koh Phi Phi. If you could only go to one island while on your trip to Krabi, this is one you should do. This picturesque island has caught the eye of Hollywood A-listers as well and many movies, including The Beach starring Leonardo DiCaprio, were filmed here.

Koh Muk – Beaches in Krabi Thailand
Up next is the small island of Koh Muk. Muk in Thai means Pearl, so essentially this island is known as Peral Island. This island is less touristy and pretty much untouched. You can hop on a ferry or take a speed boat from the popular beaches of Koh Lanta or Koh Phi Phi.
Here you will find the famous emerald pool. To get to the emerald pool you must enter through a small cave on the side of the Karst mountain. It is so beautiful and opens up to a small beach. This is one of the most crowded attractions on the island, so it is a good idea to check it out in the morning if you can.

Joy Beach Cafe
Joy Beach Cafe is the perfect restaurant on the beach. You can relax in a tree house stand, rocking chairs, beach mats, picnic tables, or with your feet in the water. They also made my high guide for weed in krabi!
They serve traditional Thai food, pizzas, chicken wings, and Thai pancakes. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and all of the food is reasonably priced and so yummy.
They also have plenty of drink options from local beers to smoothies. Every night right after sunset they light a beautiful fire to keep the bugs away. Once you come to this relaxing beach restaurant in Krabi you will find yourself wanting to come back time and time again.
They are about 20 minutes outside of Ao Nang beach and are very private. They have a local guitarist playing music a few nights a week under the stars as well.
