North Beach #1 Nazare to do

One of the first things to do in Nazare Portugal is to check out North Beach. Also known as Praia do Norte Beach. Its world-famous monster waves have made it a popular destination for surfers of all levels, from beginners to professionals. In fact, it is the site of the biggest wave ever surfed, with a record-breaking height of 100 feet.

The shore is full of soft golden sand, strong water, and stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean. North Beach is the perfect spot for a day of relaxation, fun, and adventure. This is also where the old lighthouse and viewing deck are located. You cannot miss it.

You can also view the big waves from the grassy area and above North Beach. Bring chairs, and towels, or just enjoy the view for a few minutes before checking out all the other things to do in Nazare. But this is where you should start. Be sure to check the wave report before making your way, if you can. I was lucky enough to catch the biggest swell day last year!
